Richard B. McNamara, Esq. Sworn in as New Hampshire Bar Association President

Attorney Richard B. McNamara, a partner in the regional law firm of Wiggin & Nourie, P.A., was sworn-in as the new president of the New Hampshire Bar Association (NHBA) at the conclusion of the Association’s annual meeting on June 25, 2006.

During his tenure as President, McNamara plans to work on: improving the public perception of the law profession; helping educate lawyers on managing change in a technological era; putting a public face on the profession through community outreach; and enhancing resources and support for small and solo firms.

McNamara, who focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, is a nationally known lawyer with 31 years of extensive experience in class litigation, RICO cases, trade regulation cases, automobile franchise litigation, general litigation and complex personal injury actions. He is also the author of several highly respected treatises.

McNamara previously served as President-Elect, Vice President and Secretary of the New Hampshire Bar Association, and has chaired or participated in several committees and rules initiatives.

McNamara succeeds Richard Y. Uchida, of Herbert & Uchida in Concord.
