ATTORNEY: Mona T. Movafaghi
Attorney Mona Movafaghi recently joined Wiggin & Nourie, PA as head of the Immigration Department. Prior to joining Wiggin & Nourie, P.A., attorney Movafaghi was the managing attorney of the Merrimack-based Law Offices of Mona T. Movafaghi, P.C. She practiced business and family immigration there for 12 years. She also practiced for 6 years "of counsel" at a premier immigration law firm located in Boston, MA. Attorney Movafaghi practices in the areas of business immigration, family immigration, and employer compliance. She has participated as a panel member speaking on various immigration related topics at the American Immigration Lawyer's Association Annual Conferences and at the Suffolk University CLE series on Immigration Law. She has been requested as a speaker before many organizations on the impact of our immigration laws on business and families. She has also been a CLE panel member speaking on immigration topics for the New Hampshire Bar Association.
As the head of Wiggin & Nourie's Immigration Practice Group, Attorney Movafaghi represents clients on a wide variety of immigration related issues, including business immigration nonimmigrant visas E, H, J, L, O, P, Q, R, J visa waivers, Conrad waivers, immigrant visas including EB 1category cases as well as labor certifications and petitions for alien workers. In addition, she represents individuals and families in immigration related matters in naturalization cases.
Attorney Movafaghi has successfully represented businesses in finding solutions to complex immigration situations. She was requested by the Mexican Consulate to represent some of its citizens in matters related to violations of their constitutional rights and successfully concluded that matter.
